Had a “sprinkle” on Sunday at my house. Have you heard about sprinkles? Basically girls like to get together and have no boys there, so we make up new terms for our girl parties to substantiate them. A sprinkle is a celebration for baby number 2.
How many pieces of pie have you eaten in the past two days? I have eaten three. That means I’ve eaten almost a whole day’s worth of calories in the past two days, JUST FROM PIE. Cue the lentils.
I love to make homemade pizza.. true story. Usually this endeavor includes making homemade dough. HOWEVER, week night dinner? Just say no. Trader Joes sells whole wheat pizza dough for 99 cents!
The cranberry would be like the really mean cranky great aunt in the berry family. Super sour, pretty much inedible when eaten alone. Add a bottom-load of sugar, though, and good things happen. Cue the cranberry sauce. Cranberries pair famously with oranges, cue this delicious bread. As easy to make as banana bread, but MUCH more festive.
Garlicky is just a fantastic word.
In attempting to be budget and environmentally friendly, I try to go meatless every other night. Beans and cheese become the stars. Sometimes I will look at my husband’s plate after we’re done eating and there will be all these beans around the edge. I say, “you should really eat those, good protein”. And he usually whines something like “but you gave me so many!”. What?
Okay kids, easiest recipe ever! This is nearly impossible to screw up. If you are just learning to cook and want to make something that will SURELY turn out like it should, cornbread is for you.
