Citrus Peach Margaritas

Moderate alcohol intake can absolutely be a part of healthy lifestyle – and thank goodness for that because summer barbeques wouldn’t be the same without a cold drink in hand. A light beer or a glass of wine is generally your best bet, whereas blended fruit cocktails can be loaded with sugar, clocking in upwards of 400 calories.

They’re also delicious. Could we keep the fruit but lose the guilt? I daresay so. This drink is bright, fresh, and just in time for summer peach season. With a small amount of honey, it’s just sweet enough. Give your blender a smoothie break and get the party started (with a big dose of vitamin C to boot).

Next, gluten free drinking. Most people know that beer contains gluten, but interestingly, my friend informed me earlier this summer that Corona is gluten free! It technically has a low amount of gluten, but it’s under that “limit” so that if it were sold at the grocery store, it could be labeled “gluten free”. As for liquor, rum, tequila and gin are gluten free (just watch out for flavors and additives), so a margarita is a very safe bet to prep ahead.
